Softball Recap: Midland Has No Trouble Against Eastwood

Midland got themselves on the board against Eastwood on Friday, but Eastwood never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Eastwood Troopers with a sharp 10-0 win. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by six runs or more this season.

Baylie Savage was a standout: she fired off two home runs and four RBI while going 2-for-3. Those home runs marked the first that she's launched this season. Another player making a difference was Avrey Ochoa, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and one double.

Midland was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .417. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .400 or higher in three consecutive matches.

Midland's victory bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Eastwood, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 9-1-1.

Looking ahead, Midland will be taking part in a tournament against El Paso at 12:50 p.m. on Saturday. As for Eastwood, they will take on Odessa in a tournament on Saturday.
