Football Recap: Ketchum Takes a Loss

After flying high against Porter last Thursday, Ketchum came back down to earth. The Warriors were outmatched by the Fairland Owls and fell 55-14. The Warriors were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 20-0.

When it comes to explaining why Ketchum lost on Thursday, don't look at Keegan Johnston. Despite the final result, he rushed for 154 yards and one touchdown on only 11 carries, and also threw for 89 yards and one TD. Logan Beisley helped out on the ground, rushing for 80 yards.

Ketchum's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Fairland, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season.

Ketchum will host Woodland at 7:00 p.m. on the 31st. As for Fairland, they will square off against Summit Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Owls will be up against the Eagles' rather soft defense (which has allowed 42.63 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
