Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Dinuba). They were the clear victors by a 16-7 margin over the Tulare Western Mustangs on Wednesday. The victory was nothing new for the Emperors as they're now sitting on ten straight.
Neveah Garcia made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing seven innings while giving up just one earned (and six unearned) runs off nine hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in six consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.
