Baseball Recap: Southside Extends Home Winning Streak to Four

While Southside didn't have the best season last year (they finished 9-11), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They came out on top against the LEE Volunteers by a score of 12-7 on Saturday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Cardinals.

Aiden Garcia was a standout: he scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. Southside is undefeated when Garcia posts two or more runs, but 3-4 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Joey Ramirez, who scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-3.

Southside's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-4. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.3 runs over those games. As for LEE, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6-1.

Southside wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 6-0 loss against San Antonio HomeSchool on the 10th. As for LEE, they will head out on the road to challenge Clark at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday. LEE is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.1 runs per game this season.
