Flag Football Recap: Basha Extends Winning Streak to Three

It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Basha ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Liberty Lions by a score of 21-14. Winning may never get old, but the Bears sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Amiah Walker threw for 222 yards on 28 of 40 attempts. Victoria Beakes was her top target, picking up 54 receiving yards.

Liberty lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Sophia Partida, who threw for 144 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

The victory got Basha back to even at 3-3. As for Liberty, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season.

Basha has already played their next contest, a 39-0 win against Dobson on the 16th. As for Liberty, they will face off against Gilbert at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Tigers' defense has only allowed 8.2 points per game this season, so the Lions' offense will have their work cut out for them.
