Basketball Recap: Mountain Brook's Undefeated Season over After Eight Games + How To Watch

After flying high against JAG last Tuesday, Mountain Brook came back down to earth. The Spartans took a 54-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pelham Panthers on Tuesday. The matchup marked the Spartans' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Pelham got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Daeshaun Morrisette out in front who shot 47% from the field to rack up 21 points. Morrisette has also been stellar as far as shooting accuracy is concerned: he's posted one of at least 47% every time he's hit the court this season. Andy Olds was another key player, putting up eight points and three steals.

Having lost for the first time this season, Mountain Brook fell to 7-1. As for Pelham, they pushed their record up to 8-0 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mountain Brook will face off against Homewood at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Pelham, they will square off against Hoover at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
