Football Game Preview: Coudersport Falcons vs. Kane Wolves

Coudersport is 0-3 against Kane since September of 2016 but things could change on Friday. The Falcons will take on the Wolves at 7:00 p.m. Coudersport has given up an average of 31.3 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Coudersport is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Smethport on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Falcons took a blow against the Hubbers, falling 44-14. The Falcons were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-14.

Despite the loss, Coudersport got top-tier performance from Caleb Wonderly, who rushed for 73 yards and two TDs on only seven carries, and also picked up 32 receiving yards. Wonderly's longest rush was for an impressive 59 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Kane's offense. They were beaten by Union/Allegheny-Clarion Valley 30-0 on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Wolves can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania football rankings (they are ranked 328th, while Union/Allegheny-Clarion Valley are ranked 151st).

Coudersport's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Kane, they suffered their first road loss, dropping their record down to 5-2.

Coudersport took a serious blow against Kane in their previous meeting back in August, falling 31-0. Can the Falcons avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
