Volleyball Recap: Miley Rubio Key Part of Team Effort in Lions Win

Legacy Christian Academy won the last time they faced Kings Christian and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Lions put the hurt on the Crusaders with a sharp 3-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Lions.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-16, 25-20.

Legacy Christian Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Miley Rubio out in front who had 13 digs. With that strong performance, Rubio is now averaging an impressive 10.3 digs per game. Another player making a difference was Debra Serano, who had four aces, three digs, and one block.

Legacy Christian Academy was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 13 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in October of 2024.

The victory got Legacy Christian Academy back to even at 5-5. As for Kings Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Legacy Christian Academy will challenge Tehillah Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Kings Christian, they will square off against Laton at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
