Baseball Recap: Southwest Legacy Takes a Loss

Southwest Legacy lost against Uvalde back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Titans fell 4-1 to the Coyotes/Lobos (for girls). The Titans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Ethan Macias made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in three of his four plate appearances with four stolen bases and one run. He has become a key player for Southwest Legacy: the team is 4-1 when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 3-13 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Nate Araiza, who got on base in two of his three plate appearances with two stolen bases.

Southwest Legacy's defeat dropped their record down to 7-14. As for Uvalde, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-7-2 record this season.

Southwest Legacy wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 6-1 loss against McCollum on the 19th. As for Uvalde, they have also already played their next contest, a 14-4 win against Carrizo Springs on the 22nd.
