The Air Academy Kadets's 25-3 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They were outmatched by Valor Christian on the road and fell 71-43. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Air Academy in their matchups with Valor Christian: they've now lost four in a row.
When it comes to explaining why Air Academy lost on Wednesday, one person who can't be blamed is Noah Hellem. Despite the final result, he scored 20 points. The match was Hellem's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Max Howery was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with 6 rebounds.
Air Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Valor Christian, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.
