Basketball Game Preview: Mountlake Terrace Hawks vs. Lynnwood Royals

Mountlake Terrace hasn't had much luck against Lynnwood recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Mountlake Terrace Hawks will look to defend their home court against the Lynnwood Royals at 6:30 p.m. Mountlake Terrace has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Last Wednesday, Mountlake Terrace ended up a good deal behind Shorewood and lost 67-53.

Meanwhile, Lynnwood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They were dealt a 72-16 loss at the hands of Meadowdale. The game marked the Royals' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Ena Dodik was Lynnwood's leading scorer, having posted five points.

Mountlake Terrace now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Lynnwood, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-10.

Mountlake Terrace came out on top in a nail-biter against Lynnwood when the teams last played back in December of 2024, sneaking past 55-53. Will Mountlake Terrace repeat their success, or does Lynnwood have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
