Basketball Recap: Ridgemont Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Ridgemont can now relate to. They were dealt a 67-35 defeat at the hands of the Minster Wildcats on Thursday. The contest marked the Golden Gophers' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Ridgemont's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 18-6. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.7 points over those games. As for Minster, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a massive bump to their 16-8 record this season.

Ridgemont does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Minster, they will take on St. John's at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in St. John's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last nine matches.
