Basketball Recap: Dynamic duo of A'toria Knox and Laken Corbitt lead Bruce to victory

The Bruce Trojans's game last Tuesday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They managed a 52-46 victory over North Pontotoc. The victory was all the more spectacular given Bruce's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked 206th, while the Vikings are ranked 83rd).

Leading Bruce to victory were A'toria Knox and Laken Corbitt. Knox scored 19 points along with six rebounds and four steals, while Corbitt scored 25 points along with five rebounds and two steals. That makes it seven consecutive games in which Corbitt has scored at least a third of Bruce's points.

Bruce's victory bumped their record up to 9-12. As for North Pontotoc, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-9.

Bruce does not have any more games scheduled as of now. North Pontotoc also has no future games currently scheduled.
