Baseball Recap: Notre Dame Bishop Gibbons Takes a Loss

Notre Dame Bishop Gibbons was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 26th straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Fonda-Fultonville Valley Hawks, falling 10-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Golden Knights of the 15-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Notre Dame Bishop Gibbons' loss dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Fonda-Fultonville, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-4.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Notre Dame Bishop Gibbons will take on rival Mayfield at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Fonda-Fultonville is set to face off against their familiar foe Johnstown at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
