Volleyball Recap: Lincoln Triumphs

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against DSST: Cedar, Lincoln was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They came out on top against the Denver West Cowboys by a score of 3-1. This was a revenge game for the Lancers: when they faced off against the Cowboys back in March, they had to take a 3-2 defeat.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 17-25, 25-16, 25-21.

Gabriel Lara paced Lincoln's offense, picking up eight kills. Lara got some help from Jacob Maldonado and his 15 assists.

Lincoln's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-9. As for Denver West, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-11.

Lincoln didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 loss against Hinkley on the 12th. As for Denver West, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against DSST: Conservatory Green on the 15th.
