Recap: Alexander Central Cougars vs. Hibriten Panthers
On Monday, The Alexander Central Cougars got themselves on the board against the Hibriten Panthers, but the Hibriten Panthers never followed suit. They claimed a resounding 46-0 victory over the Panthers at home. The result was nothing new for Alexander Central, who have now won five games by 26 points or more so far this season.
Alexander Central was led to victory by Cole Pennell and Maurice Howell Jr.. Pennell rushed for 61 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries, while Howell Jr. rushed for 117 yards and a touchdown on only five carries.
Alexander Central is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season. As for Hibriten, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 3-4-1.
Alexander Central will square off against Freedom at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hibriten, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against South Caldwell at 7:00 p.m.
