Basketball Recap: Glenn Skates Past Trinity Academy with Ease

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Glenn). They simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat the Trinity Academy Titans 54-13. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 33-7.

Leading Glenn to victory were Mia Hurford and Calleigh Reese. Hurford went 8-for-12 to rack up 18 points and five rebounds, while Reese posted 15 points. Hurford's big performance that evening made it five games in a row in which she has scored at least 15 points. Arianna Stanley was another key player, putting up no points and ten boards.

Glenn is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season. As for Trinity Academy, with the loss, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 5-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Glenn will welcome Tippecanoe Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Trinity Academy, they will host Lakeland Christian Academy at 12:30 p.m. on the 13th.
