Malad and Declo are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2018, but likely not for long. The Dragons will be playing at home against the Hornets at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Malad is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.4 runs per game this season.

Malad's usually-dominant pitching crew will be looking to make up for Tuesday's struggle, when Preston hitters got past them. The Dragons fell 10-5 to the Indians on Tuesday. The Dragons have struggled against the Indians recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Carter Blaisdell was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. Cale Briggs also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Meanwhile, Declo was not able to break out of their rough patch two weeks ago as the team picked up their 13th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 27-12 to American Falls. On the bright side, the 12- run performance marked the Hornets' highest-scoring match to date.

Kyle Bott made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one home run, six RBI, and three runs. Another player making a difference was Trevin Averett, who scored a run while going 3-for-3.

Malad's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Declo, their loss dropped their record down to 0-5.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Wednesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Malad has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Declo struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 4 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.

Everything went Malad's way against Declo in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as Malad made off with an 18-0 win. Do the Dragons have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Hornets turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
