Basketball Game Preview: Hinkley Thunder vs. Silver Creek Raptors + How To Watch

The Hinkley Thunder will take on the Silver Creek Raptors at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Hinkley is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Aurora Central on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Thunder were outmatched by the Trojans and fell 78-36. The Thunder haven't had much luck with the Trojans recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Davion Nash, who posted nine points. Mading Miakol was another key player, putting up nine points.

Meanwhile, Silver Creek strolled into their game on Saturday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They came out on top against Pueblo East by a score of 53-40. While the Raptors didn't have the best season last year (they finished 10-14), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Hinkley's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Silver Creek, their victory bumped their record up to 4-0.

Hinkley was dealt a bruising 70-13 loss at the hands of Silver Creek when the teams last played back in January. Thankfully for the Thunder, Sean Buckingham (who went 7-for-15 to rack up 21 points in addition to six rebounds and three steals) won't be suiting up this time.
