Cooper Child was a major factor in Murrieta Mesa's victory over Foothill on Thursday. Child was dynamite, not allowing a single earned run while striking out six over 4.2 innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

Coming up, Child and Murrieta Mesa will challenge Chaparral at 3:30 p.m. on Monday.
