Football Recap: John Battle's Luck Changes for the Better on Thursday + How To Watch

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Ridgeview, John Battle was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They managed a 19-13 victory over the Lee Generals. Surprisingly, this marked the Trojans' fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Caden Sturgill produced another solid performance rushing for 156 yards and a pair of scores, while also throwing for 105 yards and one TD while completing 75% of his passes. John Battle is 2-1 when Sturgill posts 80 or more rushing yards, but 0-6 otherwise.

John Battle didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Lee to a completion percentage of just 25%. Given Sturgill's standout performance, it's clear the Generals' secondary just wasn't on the same level.

With the win, John Battle broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-7. As for Lee, their loss dropped their record down to 3-6.
