Baseball Game Preview: Northview Wildcats vs. Anthony Wayne Generals

For the second straight game, Northview will face off against Anthony Wayne. The Wildcats will take on the Generals at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Northview 3.8, Anthony Wayne 2.5) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Northview took a six-run defeat the last time they faced off against Anthony Wayne, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Wildcats had just enough and edged out the Generals 3-2 on Monday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Nick Schantz tossed a big game, tossing six innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off seven hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Colin Tomanski, who went 3-for-4 with two RBI and one double. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Conner Draper, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run.

Northview's win bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Anthony Wayne, with the loss, they broke their six-game winning streak and moved their record to 8-3.
