Football Game Preview: Randallstown Rams vs. Milford Mill Academy Millers

Randallstown is on a three-game streak of home wins, while Milford Mill Academy is on a four-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Rams will host the Millers at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Randallstown lost a heartbreaker the last time they played New Town, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Thursday's matchup. The Rams blew past the Titans 36-0 on Thursday. The game was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Rams had established a 28-point advantage.

Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Milford Mill Academy against Woodlawn on Thursday as the team secured a 55-6 victory. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 41-6.

Milford Mill Academy found their leader in sophomore Dejuan Nelson, who rushed for 142 yards and two touchdowns on only eight carries. Nelson's longest rush was for an incredible 77 yards. Amauri Patterson was another key player, picking up 148 receiving yards and a pair of TDs.

On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Milford Mill Academy's defense and their nine sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Jayden Rose and Kamrin Edmond, who racked up four sacks between them. Edmond also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with six. Milford Mill Academy received some extra help from Jordan Ford, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.

Milford Mill Academy's win bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Randallstown, their victory bumped their record up to 5-2.

Randallstown was dealt a bruising 63-6 defeat at the hands of Milford Mill Academy in their previous meeting back in October of 2022. Thankfully for the Rams, Sean Williams Jr (who rushed for 161 yards and four scores on only nine carries) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
