Volleyball Recap: Hutchinson Comes Up Short

Hutchinson was the 2-0 winner over McPherson when they last played one another back in August of 2021, but their luck changed this time around. The Salthawks fell just short of the Bullpups by a score of 2-1 on Saturday.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Hutchinson sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The final score came out to 25-20, 23-25, 25-18.

Hutchinson's loss dropped their record down to 21-11. As for McPherson, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-4-2 record this season.

Hutchinson wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Garden Plain on the 11th. As for McPherson, they will be playing at home against Buhler on Tuesday.
