Football Preview: Shelton Gaels vs. East Hartford Hornets
The Shelton Gaels will hit the road for the first time this season to challenge the East Hartford Hornets at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
Shelton came up short against West Haven on Friday, falling 35-14. The Gaels haven't had much luck with the Blue Devils recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

Meanwhile, East Hartford took a blow against New Britain on Friday, falling 60-20. The Hornets were already down big by the end of the third quarter and they stayed that way after failing to score in the fourth.
Despite the defeat, East Hartford got top-tier performance from Drayvn Roberts, who threw for 278 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 12.6 yards per attempt, and also rushed for 87 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries. Roberts got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 55 yards.
Shelton's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for East Hartford, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 0-2.
