Basketball Recap: Springdale Prep Triumphs

Springdale Prep's game last Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 45-42 win over the Hammond Golden Bears.

Springdale Prep found their leader in sophomore Maddie Poole, who posted nine points.

Springdale Prep is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-13 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.5 points per game. As for Hammond, they moved to 3-3 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Springdale Prep didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 49-41 victory against Broadneck on the 28th. As for Hammond, they will face off against Oakland Mills on Friday.
