Recap: Chattanooga Central Pounders vs. McMinn Central Chargers
Even though The McMinn Central Chargers scored an imposing 55 points on Thursday, the Chattanooga Central Pounders still came out on top. Chattanooga Central walked away with a 62-55 win over McMinn Central. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Chattanooga Central.
Ronye Watson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 394 yards and seven touchdowns while picking up 13.6 yards per carry. Watson's longest rush was for an incredible 71 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Maddox "caden" Jones, who threw for 239 yards and a touchdown while completing 72.2% of his passes.
Chattanooga Central's win was their third straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 4-6. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 46.0 points per game. As for McMinn Central, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-3.
Chattanooga Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now. McMinn Central will look to defend their home field on Friday against Watertown at 7:00 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Tennessee (Watertown is ranked 174th, while McMinn Central is ranked 155th).
