Basketball Recap: Clarkston Comes Up Short

If Clarkston was feeling good fresh off their 93-20 takedown of Druid Hills last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Clarkston Angoras were beaten by the Lithonia Bulldogs 71-22 on Friday. The defeat continues a trend for the Angoras in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now lost four in a row.

Aamryn Pipersburgh was Clarkston's leading scorer, having posted ten points. Aoure Saria held things down on the boards with eight rebounds. Wanny Gladys took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with two assists.

Clarkston's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Lithonia, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 5-3 record this season.

Clarkston wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, an 86-6 defeat against Northview on the 10th. As for Lithonia, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 65-44 loss against St. Pius X Catholic on the 10th.
