Football Recap: Cochranton Cardinals vs. Cambridge Springs Devils

Cochranton had lost four straight on the road, but on Saturday they dropped down to 4-5 to make it five. They had to suffer through a 42-0 loss at the hands of the Cambridge Springs Devils. The contest marked the first time this year in which the Cardinals were not able to get on the board.

As for Cambridge Springs, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. The result was nothing new for Cambridge Springs, who have now won six games by 25 points or more so far this season.

Brandon Hoover produced another solid effort rushing for 227 yards and four TDs while picking up 12.6 yards per carry. Cambridge Springs is 7-1 when Hoover posts 80 or more rushing yards, but 1-2 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Brett Kania, who rushed for 121 yards and one touchdown on only 12 carries.
