Volleyball Recap: Vidalia Comes Up Short

Vidalia lost against Toombs County last Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Indians took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bulldogs.

Vidalia was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-12.

Jada Bates paced Vidalia's offense, picking up three kills. Bates were helped by Laina Williams and Makenzie Ellis, who contributed two assists each.

Vidalia's defeat dropped their record down to 4-15. As for Toombs County, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-7.

Vidalia didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Faith Baptist Christian Academy on the 18th. As for Toombs County, they have also already played their next game, a 3-2 defeat against Southeast Bulloch on the 18th.
