Hoquiam is 9-1 against Elma since March of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Grizzlies will host the Eagles at 6:30 p.m. The timing is sure in Hoquiam's favor as the squad sits on four straight wins at home while Elma has been banged up by eight consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.

The home team had won the previous four meetings between Hoquiam and Tenino, and Hoquiam kept the tradition alive. The Grizzlies walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Beavers on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, it was a Battle of the Birds when Elma duked it out with Raymond/South Bend on Wednesday. The Eagles came up short against the Ravens, falling 3-0.

Elma took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-12, 25-13, 25-17.

The win got Hoquiam back to even at 7-7. As for Elma, their loss dropped their record down to 0-14.

Everything went Hoquiam's way against Elma in their previous matchup on October 7th, as Hoquiam made off with a 3-0 victory. Will the Grizzlies repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
