Basketball Recap: Montgomery County Takes a Loss

Montgomery County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 19th straight loss. They were outmatched by the Dooly County Bobcats and fell 50-23. The Eagles were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 27-3.

Tamarley Hansley was Montgomery County's leading scorer, having posted seven points. Hansley also led the team in rebounds with eight.

Dooly County's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ja'Kayla Hooks, who dropped a double-double with 17 points and 18 boards. Hooks has been hot recently, having posted 11 or more rebounds the last four times she's played. Jazlyn Hall was another key player, putting up 21 points and eight boards.

Montgomery County's defeat dropped their record down to 2-24. As for Dooly County, their win bumped their record up to 8-14.

Montgomery County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Dooly County, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 58-35 loss against Hawkinsville on the 12th.
