Basketball Recap: College Prep of America Victorious

On Friday, the College Prep of America Thunder beat the Daystar Academy Falcons 49-38. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Thunder.

College Prep of America found their leader in freshman Rayyan Sozzer, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 steals. Those 13 points gave Sozzer a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Zayd Ansari, who went 5 of 10 on his way to 11 points.

College Prep of America's record now sits at 9-13. As for Daystar Academy, they dropped their record down to 0-8 with the defeat, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. College Prep of America has already played their next game (against Chesterton Academy of the Holy Family), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Daystar Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Northtown at 5:00 p.m. on February 4th.
