Football Recap: Jenison Comes Up Short

Jenison lost against Grandville back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Wildcats took a 31-26 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bulldogs. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan football rankings (they are ranked 87th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 17th).

This is the second loss in a row for Jenison and nudges their season record down to 3-3. As for Grandville, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Jenison is set to face off against their familiar foe Rockford at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Grandville will challenge rival Grand Haven at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
