Recap: Shafter Generals vs. Delano Tigers
The Shafter Generals's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They fell 65-56 to Delano. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Delano's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jotham Amodo, who scored 22 points. Amodo is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight. Another player making a difference was Ibrahim Shuwait, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds.
Shafter has been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 11 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-14 record this season. As for Delano, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 18-8.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Shafter will take on the Thunderbirds at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Delano, they will be playing at home against the Tigers at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Wasco is no doubt hoping to put an end to an eight-game streak of away losses.
