Barron had already won six in a row and they went ahead and made it seven on Saturday. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Clear Lake Warriors. That's more bragging rights for the Golden Bears, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Alexis Halverson paced Barron's offense, picking up 14 kills. Halverson got some help from Lillian Harmon and her 25 assists. Halverson was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

When it comes to explaining why Clear Lake lost, don't look at Brena Dimler. Despite the final result, she had 13 digs and two aces.

Barron's win bumped their record up to 12-2. As for Clear Lake, they moved to 11-4 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Coincidentally, Barron and Clear Lake will both be playing St. Croix Falls the next time they take the court. The Golden Bears will head out to face the Saints at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Warriors will play them later in the day, at 11:00 a.m.
