Volleyball Game Preview: Lakeland Cavaliers vs. Nansemond River Warriors + Official Tickets

The Lakeland Cavaliers will head out on the road to square off against the Nansemond River Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lakeland has now lost eight straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since September 15.

On Thursday, Lakeland came up short against King's Fork and fell 3-1.

Meanwhile, Nansemond River lost 3-0 to Western Branch on Thursday. The Warriors haven't had much luck with the Bruins recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

While Nansemond River was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Western Branch's winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-20, 25-22.

Lakeland's loss dropped their record down to 3-14. As for Nansemond River, they now have a losing record of 7-8.

Lakeland suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Nansemond River when the teams last played back in September. Can the Cavaliers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
