Basketball Recap: Wenonah's Undefeated Season over After Seven Games

After flying high against Parker on Saturday, Wenonah came back down to earth. The Dragons fell 82-72 to the Huffman Vikings on Saturday. The Dragons were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Vikings apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in November of 2022.

Despite the loss, Wenonah still got an impressive performance from Santez Pendleton, who shot 63% from the field to rack up 24 points and seven boards. Another player making a difference was Demazzia Taylor, who posted 11 points in addition to five assists and five rebounds.

Huffman's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Antonio Hill, who went 9-for-15 on his way to 21 points along with six assists and six boards. The matchup was Hill's third in a row with at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ardarius Pruitt, who scored 15 points and five steals.

Having lost for the first time this season, Wenonah fell to 6-1. As for Huffman, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-3.

Wenonah has already played their next game (against Overton), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Huffman, they have also already played their next contest, an 84-83 victory against Hale County on the 24th.
