Football Game Preview: Williamsburg Academy Stallions vs. Bethesda Academy Blazers

The Williamsburg Academy Stallions will challenge the Bethesda Academy Blazers at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams are still undefeated (Williamsburg Academy has seven wins , while Bethesda Academy has six).

Williamsburg Academy's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They claimed a resounding 29-0 win over Lee Academy. Given the Stallions' advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina football rankings (they are ranked 79th, while the Cavaliers are ranked 207th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Bethesda Academy was fully in charge on Friday, breezing past Dillon Christian 40-6. Those 40 points were actually the fewest the Blazers have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

Bethesda Academy's victory bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Williamsburg Academy, their win bumped their record up to 7-0.

Williamsburg Academy and Bethesda Academy were neck-and-neck when the teams last played back in November of 2023, but Williamsburg Academy came up empty-handed after an 18-17 defeat. Can the Stallions avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
