Basketball Recap: Thomas Jefferson School Starts Season with Win at Home

Thomas Jefferson School took care of business in their home opener (barely) on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Varsity Opponent 42-39. This was payback for the Titan, who suffered a 69-41 loss the last time these two teams met.

Thomas Jefferson School found their leader in sophomore Luke Tung, who went 10-for-14 en route to 23 points. Another player making a difference was Roy Jang, who posted six points.

Looking ahead, Thomas Jefferson School will challenge Westwood Baptist Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be the Titan's first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Varsity Opponent, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, an 88-64 defeat against Winston Salem Christian National on the 4th.
