Baseball Recap: Four Straight Road Wins for Manteca

The Manteca Buffaloes got the win against the Mountain House Mustangs on Monday by a conclusive 16-2. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Buffaloes.

Manteca got a big performance out of Caleb Ortega, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Jace Quitasol, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

Manteca was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .483. The last time their batting average was this high was back in April of 2024.

Manteca's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-3. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.3 runs over those games. As for Mountain House, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-10-1.

Manteca will have a chance to go back-to-back against Mountain House: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
