Baseball Game Preview: Lick-Wilmerding Tigers vs. Urban Blues

For the second straight game, Lick-Wilmerding will face off against Urban. The Tigers will square off against the Blues at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.

While Lick-Wilmerding's win against Urban wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Tigers skirted past the Blues 7-6. That's two games straight that the Tigers have won by just one run.

Braden Pollock and Kian Perrone did most of the damage at the plate: Pollock scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances, while Perrone scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-4. Those three hits gave Perrone a new career-high.

Lick-Wilmerding was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .385. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive contests.

Urban's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Lick-Wilmerding, their victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 5-5.
