Football Recap: Wilmot Takes a Loss

Wilmot is still winless after their contest against Waterford on Friday, but the team can take solace in the fact it was the closest they've come to winning. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 24-21 heartbreaker at the hands of the Wolverines. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin football rankings (they are ranked 247th, while the Wolverines are ranked 83rd).

Wilmot's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Waterford, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.

Coming up, Wilmot will head out to take on Union Grove at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Broncos' defense has only allowed 13 points per game this season, so the Panthers' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Waterford, they will take on Westosha Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Wolverines will be up against the Falcons' rather soft defense (which has allowed 32.75 points per match), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
