Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Gaffney). They managed a 40-35 win over the Eastside Eagles on Friday. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Indians' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina football rankings (they are ranked 26th, while the Eagles are ranked 87th).

Gaffney had a senior duo take command as Josiah Hill rushed for 120 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 7.1 yards per carry and Banks Bouton rushed for 104 yards and a pair of scores on only 11 carries. Those three rushing touchdowns set a new season-high mark for Hill.

Gaffney was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 264 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in October of 2024.
