Volleyball Game Preview: Klein Cain Hurricanes vs. Klein Oak Panthers

The Klein Cain Hurricanes will head out to square off against the Klein Oak Panthers at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Klein Cain and Klein meet (four straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Friday. The Hurricanes fell just short of the Bearkats by a score of 3-2.

The match came down to the wire multiple times:three sets needed extra rallies to declare a winner. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-28, 28-26, 25-21, 24-26, 15-11.

Meanwhile, Klein Oak made easy work of Magnolia on Friday and carried off a 3-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Panthers.

Klein Oak's got stronger as the match went on, holding Magnolia to fewer and fewer points set over set. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-18, 25-9.

Klein Cain's defeat dropped their record down to 22-14. As for Klein Oak, their win bumped their record up to 29-10.

Klein Cain suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Klein Oak when the teams last played back in August. Can the Hurricanes avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
