West Ranch and Santa Margarita squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but West Ranch had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 3-2. The Wildcats' loss signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.

West Ranch's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Dani Clewis, who hit 72.7% for eight kills and nine digs and two blocks, and Alexandra Seres, who had eight digs. Clewis is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 15 or more in each of the last 50 games she's played dating back to last season.

West Ranch's loss dropped their record down to 25-6. As for Santa Margarita, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 25-10.
