Volleyball Recap: Woodrow Wilson Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Woodrow Wilson and Cabell Midland squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Woodrow Wilson had to settle for second. They came up short against the Knights, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Flying Eagles have suffered since October 24, 2024.

Despite the loss, Woodrow Wilson still got an impressive performance from Zoie Vance, who had 19 digs and four aces. Vance is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Cabell Midland was led to victory by Carley Brewster and Jaycee Bowen. Brewster had 12 digs and four aces, while Bowen had eight digs and one assist. That's the most aces Brewster has posted since back in September.

Woodrow Wilson's loss dropped their record down to 29-15-7. As for Cabell Midland, they are on a roll lately: they've won 25 of their last 26 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 45-5-1 record this season.
