Basketball Recap: Eisenhower Starts Season with Victory on the Road

Eisenhower had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the East Valley Red Devils 45-42. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Cadets as it put an end to their six-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Nekha Roehl had a dynamite game for Eisenhower, dropping a double-double on 17 points and 14 steals. Another player making a difference was Rihanna Espinoza, who posted seven points and three steals.

East Valley's loss dropped their record down to 2-1.

Eisenhower didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 47-46 victory against Selah on the 6th. As for East Valley, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 52-22 defeat against West Valley on the 6th.
