Basketball Game Preview: Clearwater Valley Rams vs. Prairie Pirates

Clearwater Valley is 0-10 against Prairie since December of 2020 but things could change on Tuesday. The Clearwater Valley Rams will venture away from home to square off against the Prairie Pirates at 6:00 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Saturday, Clearwater Valley earned a 54-45 victory over Logos. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Rams.

Clearwater Valley can attribute much of their success to Taya Pfefferkorn, who went 7 for 17 en route to 18 points.

Meanwhile, Prairie had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 21.5 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Monday. In a tight contest that could have gone either way, they made off with a 57-56 win over the Bulldogs.

Prairie pushed their record up to 10-1 with the victory, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.5 points per game. As for Clearwater Valley, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-8.

Clearwater Valley was dealt a bruising 84-31 loss at the hands of Prairie in their previous matchup back in December of 2024. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Clearwater Valley was down 52-17.
