Volleyball Recap: Bristol Central's Winning Streak Snapped at Seven Games

After a string of seven wins, Bristol Central's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Farmington River Hawks. The Rams were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the River Hawks earlier this season, when they won 3-2.

While Bristol Central ultimately came up short, they really made Farmington work, particularly in the fourth set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 17-25, 25-23, 26-24.

Bristol Central's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Gillian Gray, who had 26 assists and six digs.

Bristol Central's loss dropped their record down to 17-5. As for Farmington, they pushed their record up to 15-6 with the victory, which was their eighth straight on the road.

Coming up, Bristol Central will take on New London in a tournament on Monday. Farmington does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
